On April 28, 1977 a private member's bill was introduced into the legislature to include sexual orientation In the Human Rights Code. It wasn't even voted on. Why? Because 20 Conservatives, including some Cabinet ministers, opposed calling a vote. The Bill, supported by all N.D.P. and most Liberal members, was thus defeated. The time has come to defeat the Tories.This election vote for gay rights, vote against the Tories.
